Who Uses Our Services

As a recent example, we had a retired Veterinarian call. He stated he was having shoulder surgery and staying overnight in the hospital. He requested a Companion come to the hospital on his day of discharge, drive him home and stay for 24 hours until he felt secure enough to be there by himself. Our Companion went and met him before hand so he would know exactly who to expect the next day at the hospital. On the day of discharge she picked him up, drove him home, prepared his dinner, cleaned up afterwards, and was there until the next afternoon. Before the Companion left she drove to the pharmacy to fill his prescriptions, picked up some groceries, and stopped at the Post Office to mail a package for him.

We also have clients that have been ill and aren't quite up to preparing meals or doing laundry. Sometimes it's the family member providing the care that just needs a little "break". They will call us in for a few hours or even overnight so they can "re-energize". Each situation is unique in its own way.
